The Society for the Study of Disability in the Middle Ages (SSDMA) is looking to expand opportunities for those interested to come together and discuss various topics related to medieval disability, particularly in accessible venues beyond traditional conferences spaces. To that end, we are calling for proposals for webinar presentations. We are hoping to offer at least two webinars in 2024, and, if those are successful, four in 2025. The webinars will be offered for free to participants who register (a donation option will be offered to compensate* presenters, but will not be mandatory).
* Please note that we do not at this time have guaranteed compensation to offer to presenters, for which we apologize as we are aware of the labor involved. If the series develops, however, we will certainly be looking for funding. Any donations received for individual webinars will go directly to the presenter, and the SSDMA will provide a certificate that presenters can use any way they might like (i.e. promotion, tenure, CVs/resumes, etc.).
